Roatan Hondurus

April 1, 2017

My 1st International trip as Miss Teen Utah International:

What an amazing adventure. Roatan is a place that most people wouldn't describe as somewhere they would want to stay for too long but to me it was one of the most beautiful places I'd ever seen. Not because of the islands beauty itself but because of the beauty of the people that call Roatan their home. Most live in A-frame houses with no doors, windows, televisions, x-box etc. They live a simple life with very few wordly possessions. They have each other and that is enough. They live by the golden rule and I admire that. The children play outside mostly fishing or playing in the ocean and the parents were right there with them. What an important thing this is. Family is so important and I see a lot of youth in the court system and at detention centers that say their parents are never around. I think parents feel like they are doing their children a favor by working so much so they can give their children everything they want but in reality the kids just want to be with their parents and to know they are loved. I am so grateful that even though my mom is a nurse she always found jobs that would allow her to be with my siblings and I and fortunately my dad has a job that allows him to be flexible to our needs and wants. I value that so much. It plays a huge role in my emotional stability. I know because I felt that love I am able to love. This is why the people of Roatan are such giving people. They are truly happy.

I really hope and pray to become Miss Teen International and I know if it's Gods will it will be. But I know for 1 thing, With or without an International title my Goal is to return to Roatan on a humanitarian mission to help set up programs to educate the youth there. I have a feeling I will learn a lot from them as well.

the best friends a girl could ask for💗

this beautiful bird was one of the many cool wildlife animals we were able to play with!
also, sloths! sloths are so sweet and will just totally cuddle up to you. their fur did not feel anything like I thought it would!

but my personal favorite, MONKEYS!!! I am completely obsessed with monkeys, and one day I hope to have a capuchin monkey as a pet
everyone said that spider-monkeys are mean, but as soon as I walked by, this sweet little guy reached his hand out and wanted to hold my hand, and then he gave me a hug with his tail!
this group is one of the reasons this trip was so fun! So thankful for all the people I have in my life

Disney Princess Reads

February 4 2017

Disney Princess Reads:

One of the 1st things I thought of after being crowned was how excited I was to have the opportunity to make an impact on the lives of the youth throughout the state of Utah, February 4th 2017 was a magical day at Barnes and Noble. I want to publicly thank them for asking me to be a part of "Disney Princess Reads" This age group is such an important time to teach the importance of reading and literacy skills so we will ensure our future. And of coarse they will listen to me... I'm dressed up like princess Elsa!
In all honesty. With this crown and the title that I hold as Miss Teen Utah International 2017 it is important to me to be a positive role model. I look at these sweet innocent little faces and know they will be facing challenges throughout their lives. I feel it is my responsibility to teach them as much as I can now so they can make positive choices.

Lindon Days Parade and Firework Show

A special thanks to Power House Motor Sports and City Councilmen Dustin Sweeten for this beautiful set up in the parade. At the parade I had the opportunity to hand out the Choice Award to the Live & Learn Academy Preschool for Toddlers.

It ended up being a spectacular event with a live band and firework display. I love this City!

Lindon Days Aquatic Event

What a way to end the summer with a week long city event. Mayor Jeff Acerson said it best, "Lindon City is a wonderful place to live and work and so grateful to be part of such a outstanding community".

At the cardboard boat regatta the open speed winners were the city council men: Dustin Sweeten and Van Broderick, sailing in the S.S. Gigantic. They were up against steep competition and everyone did a great job.

I would like to thank and recognize all the sponsors of Lindon Days 2016!

Lindon Days Car Show

At the car show all proceeds were donated to Lindon City's Police Emergency Response Trailer. I got to autograph and sign the book of a soldier from Lindon City who is serving our country.

I sat in the most expensive car of my life worth over 1/2 million - I have to say it was fun!

An old fashion hearse, I think I'll take the hot rod one for now.

Navajo Reservation Book Drive

I started a Book Drive for the Navajo Reservation - Today I will travel to Arizona and hand deliver classroom book sets, children's books, and chapter books. This book drive will help educate children to increase their adult success. Thank you for all those who donated supplies to this cause.

Pick up a book this summer and start reading. It will help you continue your education for life! Stay educated and remember to be F.I.T.Focused, Intelligent and Thriving!

On this humanitarian trip I will help rebuild a school and home for the Navajo people. I can't think of a better way to spend my summer as to help serving others.
