My July 4th began at 5 AM with the American Flag on my yard thanks to the Boy Scouts of America. Then, off to the Balloon Fest to ride in a hot air balloon overlooking the valley.
The Balloon Fest is a favorite tradition in Utah County for more than 30 years; 25+ majestic hot air balloons floating in the air. There is also a Freedom Run where 6,000 runners participate in the 1 mile, 5K and 10K race.
Doug Cannon is a licensed commercial pilot who has been flying hot air balloons for 27 years. In fact his first date with his wife Beverly began on a ride in the sky. They make the time for others every 4th to allow them to see the beauty from above.
