Earn your Turkey a fundraisers that benefits Kids on The Move. Kids on The Move provides services throughout Utah County to children with special needs, and to assist families. Their mission is to support the development of young children throughout their main programs: Early Intervention, Early Head Start, the KOTM Autism Center, Respite Care and Child Care.
Runner's Corner -"Where the Run Begins"- helped sponsor this event and also United Way.
I volunteered to take off the runner's chip clip when they came to the finish line. A 4 mile run that started at 6:45am on Thanksgiving Day and ended with the kids race.
We did whatever we could to stay warm for the event and added a little festive action!
Kids got to find a turkey along the race have hot cocoa and pancakes.
Mr. Hawk, owner of Runners Corner, is a long time Utah residence/business owner. I love how he gives back to our community!
They had some fun events where they made people hold the turkey for as long as they could so they could take one home! Here is the winner for being the strongest man:
This winner held the turkey the longest. I enjoyed spending the day at Orem Fitness Center that held the race.
I can't think of a better way to start the day out with a good run for a health heart!
